Precarious peace on first anniversary of war
On August 7 2008, Georgia and Russia went to war over the small breakaway province of South Ossetia. One year on, tensions on the ground remain high, to the point that there are even fears in some quarters of another war.
Cyril Vanier, FRANCE 24's international correspondent in Tbilisi, and Robert Parsons, FRANCE 24's international affairs editor, who was in Georgia during the war last year, analyse the situation on the ground.
