“Israeli soldiers killed unarmed civilians carrying white flags in Gaza, says report”
The British newspaper The Guardian portrayed the story of a Palestinian man called Tusuf Abu Hajjaj.
He lost his sister and mother in January.
They were reportedly carrying a white flag, when Israeli forces allegedly shot them.
According to the latest report by Human Rights Watch, eleven unarmed Palestinian civilians, all carrying a white flag- were killed during Israel’s offensive in Gaza.
According to the newspaper, the deaths- including those of women and children, occurred on different occasions.
The Israeli military says the report was based on unreliable witnesses and that Hamas fighters used civilians with white flags, for cover.
An investigation is ongoing…

“The Human Timebomb”
The newspaper goes back on the story of a British military contractor, who killed two of his colleagues in Iraq.
The Independent interviewed his family, who revealed that Daniel Fitzsimons, 29, had a long history of psychiatric illness, and faced assault charges.
So “why did the security firm in Iraq give him a job with a gun”, asks the Independent.
His family says he shouldn’t have been allowed to go to Iraq, because he was poorly.
He had previously served in the British Army, and suffered post traumatic stress.
Now accused of shooting two of his work colleagues, he’s held in custody in Iraq and faces the death penalty.

Swiss chocolatiers are working on a new chocolate bar called Volcano, that can resist temperatures as high as 55°C.
It’s crunchy and it only melts when in contact with saliva.
That kind of chocolate was already used in the army but it wasn’t real chocolate, it was made with substitutes and vegetable fats.
Volcano is made with real cocoa butter.
