RACISM IN SRI LANKA
The world should recognize the fact that, Sri Lanka is the worst racist country in the world at the moment, with its government only comparable to Nazis, Facists and Bol-pot in implementing its racist policies.
It has cleverly utilized the war on terrorism tag to suppress dissent. Can you call people terrorists if they resist racism? If so Nelson Mandela, Churchill, Martin Luther will all be terrorists.
Sri Lanka should be shown that there is no place for racism in modern world. If this country is allowed to go scot-free, they will align with other dangerous states (they are already close friends with Iran and China) and will spit the civilized world in the face,
Sri Lanka's Preventuin of Terrorism Act an Excuse for Tyranny
Since the majority Buddhist/Sinhala government of Sri Lanka has been terrorising the Tamil minority from 1955, there has no let up to their persecution. The result was the formation of the LTTE by the Tamils as a defensive organization. The Sri Lankan government is now punishing any Tamils they can find, including reporters. The arrest and trial of Tamil reporter T.S, Tissamayagam by the the Sri Lankan authorities is proof positive that there is a didtatorship in Sri Lanka and things are not going to get any better for theTamil minority in that country.
It is now up to the nations of the world to pass stringent sanctions against Sri Lanka with immediate effect. It should give the Sri Lanjan government food for thought. A sea blockade around Sri Lanka would be most effective and bring that island country to its knees in no time at all.
