One year on, land reform still dragging in Zimbabwe

Mugabe's land reform
No doubt, Mugabe has taken his cues from Helmut Kohl in Shameland.
In 1945, in former East Germany the communists had confiscated farms in excess of 100 ha, calling it the "democratic land reform". That could almost be accepted as a result of a lost war. The real injustice occurred
in 1990 at unification. The then chancellor, Kohl, lied to the Parliament saying that the Soviet Union had made it a pre condition of their agreement to German re unification that the land reform remain untouched.
I myself have heard Gorbatchef say in Berlin (paraphrased);" it is absurd to say that we have made such a condition..."
I am not sure whose actions were worse; Mugabe's or Kohl's.
