Milk protests

When is the EU and Europe going to realize that subsidies in the long term will never work. Artificial state prices will in the long term not help the farmers, but course more problems. The CAP eventually will have to be scrapped,so farmers can sell there product on the open markets. This should apply to not just milk, but coffee, cotton, and all product,so there is not distortion in agricultural markets worldwide. The CAP costs European Tax payers hugh amounts of money, but the problems still exist?

Common Agricultural Bureaucracy

If the EU agriculture commissioner and all the high flyers in Bruxelles get off their high horse and seek consultations with European farmers they wouldn't have to resort to pouring milk down the drain. Worrying about what other countries think isn't going to fix the problem neither is using moral blackmail
