It’s closer to a gripping piece of theatre than a court case, says the editorial of Le Figaro. It’s front page is covering the ongoing Clearstream trial and today’s appearance of former senior spy, General Philippe Rondot. He kept note of the entire Clearstream affair as it unfolded in his diary and his testimony today could upset the defense of Dominique de Villepin.
