There’s electricity in Eire, says France’s leading sports paper, l’Equipe. The Irish side has been selected to meet the French in two key matches on the 14th and 18th November. The paper focuses on the strengths and weaknesses of the Ireland. The boys in green are a tight knit team with good management under the Italian Giovanni Trapattoni but their defence is weak and only one player – John O’ Shea of Manchester United – plays regularly in the Champions League.
