Berlin wall: "The Day the World Changed"
France's press is awash with news of Berlin wall anniversary celebrations in neighbouring Germany. Aujourd’hui en France looks back on the momentous events of November 9, 1989, remembering "The Day the World Changed."
Libération is in reflective mood in its coverage of the anniversary, saying the fall of the wall has led to an unpredictable world.
Le Figaro says November 9, 1989 marked the death of communism, with barely a remnant left of the ideology in today’s Europe.
Communist daily l’Humanité says the former East Germany wasn’t all bad.
Meanwhile, Catholic La Croix examines two peoples still very much divided…in North and South Korea.
Finally, in French football, Lyon and Marseille played out a spectacular draw, and l'Equipe is all excited.
