“14% of French women have had plastic surgery”

FRENCH PRESS REVIEW: A new poll shows that one in seven French women have had plastic surgery with notable increases in breast enhancements and anti-wrinkle procedures since 2002.

By James CREEDON

French women have the reputation the world over for beauty and elegance but is it in part down to a little help from their plastic surgeons?! Le Parisien leads with the surprising statistic that 14% of French women have had plastic surgery. That figure stood at a mere 6% in 2002. Since then, there has been a 19% increase in breast enhancements and in anti-wrinkle treatments such as botox.

However, minor treatments such as laser hair removal are included in the poll. Furthermore, the removal of moles and surgery following accidents may also contribute to the figures.
