Indra Sinha, writer
Indra Sinha’s novel, “Animal’s People,” is inspired by the Union Carbide catastrophe which occurred in the Indian town of Bhopal in 1984. It remains the biggest industrial disaster ever. Sinha creates a dark and sometimes comic fable around the character of Animal, a young victim of the toxic gas that killed more than 20.000 thousand people and that continues to damage the health of the survivors.
