Skirted Guys
I support this idea of skirted men's. It is just overdue that men should -must- have the same opportunities wearing whatever they want.
I do not expect that all men will wear skirts right away, but I think a lot of men will do. I saw many times men in different style of skirts and all looked fabulous, no exceptions. If skirts are also good for men's health then men should no more hesitating to go forward, skirted.

Yes, j.-Paul gaunter was actually the first in 1984 starting with skirt for men. I am missing the follow up this course somehow. France has an active men-skirts-society and that's great because Dutch French Revolution the skirts for men disappeared, and now skirts for men coming back through French initiatives. Great development. I admire all people which are going new ways in case of fashion...Paris, move on with sired men!
About the real men
Who are real men? I think all of persons agred with their biological masculinity are real men, so I'm a real man for example. And I wear kilts in public (occasionally, but it's a fact). I haven't asked anyone for permission, however some other men live under stronger pressure and are forced to ask (or even have got no occasion to ask). Fact is that many men (and women) know nothing about the men's skirts, history of menswear nor reasons we shoud wear skirted garment. It means we must do some work with education and should not to divede men per real and ...(unreal?) men. Skirts for everyone who want to wear these!

Skirted garments for men
Medical issues might be a good point, but thinking global we know that skirted garments have thousands of varieties which pants do NOT have. Comfortable? Absolutely! So what is the reason that men going to discuss it in public? Real men wearing skirts and don't ask around if they get the permission to do so. Real men are proud wearing skirted garments (dresses for men included) because they are not just a part of the crowd because they are REAL men. Real men are confident what they are doing and wearing.

Demand for the return of men's skirts is getting stronger and stronger. Only clothing industry is totally blind for that. They aren't interested in reopening that piece of market. Why? I don't know.

Rome exiled men in pants in 393AD & confiscated their property. on 5/27/1876 the NY Times p. 6 said women in pants were under "permanent mental hallucination." But skirts/pants are no sex difference only different ways to clothe the legs. Anything people aren't used to rattles them, to the point of calling it a "disorder" ("cross dressing") oh yeah? You want to believe 2010 Greek soldiers are "disordered," and Fijian cops, because their uniform is a SKIRT?

Why Not!
Women should embrace the Idea of their men wearing skirts because Un Enlightened men are taught by our society that Women are less than men, and the wearing of anything that could be considered "Feminine" is Gay, or Queer.Imagine a world where people aren't so hung up on what Society thinks, but They're just happy to be comfortable,and accepted for who they are, regardless of what clothes they're wearing.
Cool for men to wear skirt!!
I would like to see men wear skirts more in public and doesent matter which one men or women style clothes and yes i would say unisex or mixed. I do wear denim mini skirt with black tights as Im male with too slim body as I cant wear men clothes size so I use women smaller size that prefect fit for me and yes men health need cool down with testicular to aviod from deadly bug such as cancer so wear skirt is the best for men to wear and go out anyway plus change for new fashion to replace boring old same trousers. I got lots of mini skirts from Ebay that save my money as it much cheaper plus easy to wash and ironing so wear and have fun :)

If it's ok for women then it should be ok for men.. I am a man and I wear skirts.. My girlfriend loves it... Skirts should be labelled unisex and not womens wear.
A reclaimation for mens skirts
Today, feb. 2010 the world of men have started their reclaimation of skirts. H & M fashions will begin selling them in department and sporting goods stores. While Mr. Gaultier was a pioneer in starting it, todays designers have taken it a bit further. They are openly advertising it, forming blogs on the internet and instituting support groups advocating the return of men wearing skirts. What was a few innovated men has grown overwhelmingly to tens of thousands. A lot of women have also gotten on to this bandwagon. The numbers have really taken off since jan of 09 and continually seems to be moving forward. The skirts today not only include traditional kilts, but utilikilts for everyday wear, pencil and A-line, pleated and straight. Some are long, some knee length and some mini-skirts. There are those who tend to stay with pants for fear of being ostracized. Some don't even know the medical benefits associated with the wearing of skirts. This is changing as the groups continue to grow and men, as well as boys are being educated as to why skirts need to a part of the male wardrobe.
I openly advocate for men in skirts, skorts and better garments.

Skirts for men are alright. Men and women have equal rights so they consequently can wear skirts or pants however they like.
Addition to men's wardrobe
I find the idea of men in skirted garments great. I'm a passionate non-Scottish kilt wearer already and appreciate the comfort, the difference and the variety of the kilt.
Skirted garment is masculine
Skirts are the first step? I do not agree, skirts are traditional male garment so it's just return of men's skirts, not something new (but people in the West don't know that men through history wore skirted garment and in many cultures (Scotland and India for example) still wear. In opposition, trousers were invented for women and in Europe were worn first by women in Ancient Greece.
I don't like that shorts hidden under this "kilt", skirt is comfortable and healthy, shorts no.

Sure, I believe that men can wear it. It make much more sense for a male body to wear a skirt instead a pair of pants. And it looks better!
It is not necessary to wear a skirt with short pants under a skirt. Just have nice underwear or stockings. Men must have the same opportunities in choices for their wardrobe like women, and skirts are the first step.
Skirts for men!
Medical sources say that male's private region must be kept in temperature 2 to 4 Celsius lower than rest of the body, so it's time to introduce skirts instead trousers if we want to decrease prostate and testicular diseases level. Also skirts are much more comfortable than trousers and were a part of men's wardrobe since were invented.
