André Brink, South African antiapartheid writer

The South African antiapartheid writer André Brink talks to FRANCE 24 about his latest book, “A Fork in the Road”, somewhere in between a personal diary and a love story. His best-seller, “A Dry White Season”, published in 1980, was banned from publication in South Africa. Inspired by the Soweto massacres, it was translated in more than ten languages and won the foreign Medicis Prize in 1980.
