French singer Mano Solo dies aged 46

Tragedy in the Africa Cup of Nations is the big news, but in France, the music-world in mourning the death of rock-singer Mano solo.

Top news in France today, the death of the singer Mano Solo, aged 46. Famous for his raucous style as well as his mix of rock with more eclectic styles – from tango to African rhythms – it was his fiery personality that stood out.
 
Although he was HIV positive for well over a decade, he hated being branded an artist for the HIV decade, meaning he often sparred with the media over his image, including Libération.
