Three days after the earthquake around 30 countries are providing humanitarian assistance, eight rescue teams have arrived in Port-au-Prince. AFP

The earthquake has crippled Haiti’s main airport . Authorities have cancelled all flights to Port-au-Prince.AFP

According to early UN reports, 10% of the capital has been destroyed, leaving more than 300,000 people homeless. AFP

Bodies of victims are still lying in the streets. Thousands of corpses have been taken to the main hospital in Port-au-Prince. The red cross puts the death toll at 40,000-50,000.
