AFP - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton arrived Saturday in Haiti to work on an urgent bid to clear logistics hurdles and find creative ways to deliver aid to quake-hit Haitians.

Clinton, who arrived in the devastated capital Port-au-Prince shortly before 2000 GMT, is the highest-ranking US official to visit Haiti since the massive quake struck on Tuesday.

She has said she would meet President Rene Preval to ask how the United States could help tackle fuel shortages and other logistical problems that were dogging the relief effort.

The chief US diplomat, who met Preval during a visit to Port-au-Prince in April last year, told reporters traveling with her that she wanted to "listen to him, to be sure we are as responsive as we need to be."

Clinton and Rajiv Shah, her director of the US Agency for International Development, said the UN World Food Program had begun setting up food and water distribution centers at 14 points across the capital. "We're looking to expand that," Shah said.

bad credit loans and instant payday loans story

Due to an illness unfortunately we went into arrears on our mortgage, and after recuperation needed to borrow money to get back onto an even keel. I tried my bank first to find that they were not very sympathetic to my cause, I then learnt a very important lesson if you have any sort of bad credit history you are far better to go through a reputable broker. They will listen to you as a person and help you by finding the right lender for you instead of trying yourself and risking many rejections until you find the right person to speak to. I was fortunate enough to find http://www.usainstantpayday.com/ through google who took over and did the rest for me to get the bad credit loans

The moral of this story is be guided by people who know what they are doing

Clinton to visit Haiti

Heads of State, Diplomats, and other "VIPs" should not be visiting Haiti for their "photo-op". Their visits take up valuable time of officials and add workers, they consume amounts of water and food that should be going to survivors, their planes use valuable landing spaces and resources in airports. They should stay at home--and not disturb the humanitarian work! Exception: Ban Ki Moon has a valid reason to be their, his organization has probably lost hundreds of people, it is valid for him to be present on the site of their greatest disaster.
Very impressed by Senegal's offer! Others willing to follow suit?
Thx.
