The PKK originally demanded an independent state in Turkey's Kurdish south-east, but has since scaled down its goals, looking for wider political and cultural autonomy for Kurds in Turkey. A total of 2,000 PKK rebel fighters are expected to leave Turkey and cross into their stronghold in northern Iraq.

france backs ban on red tuna

Excellent presentation by France24, and being in Ecuador where we have seen a depletion of the Yellow-Fin and the Big Eye Tuna, it is very understandeable France's position. However, why in 18 months when they are suggesting that by 2012 these Red Tuna may have disappeared.
In Ecuador there is an important Spanish Tuna Fleet, with the latest in Tuna technology fishing the Pacific from Ecuador to Samoa to San Diego, Panama, Colombia; Just about the whole Pacific. Though Titty for the Spaniards if they star "Bitching" about the Red Tuna.
As for France's idea, please try to make the "VEDA"( as it is referred to, and implemented, in this end of the world)in a shorter time-frame.
