From booby-trapped cars to suicide bombers, the city of Peshawar in Pakistan is the scene of regular deadly attacks, often aimed at the police. FRANCE 24 went to the heart of this dangerous city to meet these policemen who are often helpless witnesses of a violence that has become commonplace.

This report shows Peshawar today. Not yesterday. This is News. It is clearly said in the report that Peshawar use to be a peaceful city. So what's wrong with this report. Shall we say that everything nice and peaceful because it use to be? Sorry, we all are very sad about it, but Peshawar is not peacefull anymore. Peaople are lovely for shure until they blow themself on checkpoint in the name their wrong perception of Islam. I am shure this 13 years old boy would have been a great man if he didn't cross the way of Taleban. But he did. Are we supposed to ignore it. Go there, watch, smell the burnt flesh of innocent peshawar people and tell us if Peshawar is the nice city you describe. Sorry for my english. Mike

Peshawar in its native language means Skillful (city of Markets), the city use to be the centre of the Gandhara civilization. Until recently this place was the most peaceful and culturally rich place in Pakistan. People of this place are known for their hospitality and kindness, so the question comes to mind "What happened to this beautiful city?" You don't have to go far, it was when Pakistan was USED to attack Afghanistan that life for the people of this serene and peaceful city became hell.

i saw the news on this channel where they said peshawar is a born city of taliban and city of terrior this is absulatory against of the picture showed by france24 tv the people are lovely , peacefull , they respact every one people of the word peace full city peshawar but these days peshawar in under attact by taliban please france tv be positive u get some wrong news
