U.K. 'knew Mossad was using fake passports for Dubai hit'

This morning’s Daily Mail claims Israeli spies tipped off MI6 before assassinating Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in Dubai. FRIDAY, 19th FEBRUARY, 2010

By James CREEDON

According to the British daily, The Daily Mail, Israeli agents told British intelligence that they were intending to carry out an 'overseas operation' using fake British passports before assassinating a Hamas official in Dubai.

The source did not say who the target would be, however. He also claimed that Britain was not involved in the attack and described the tip-off as a “courtesy call”.

However, U.K. officials had claimed previously they knew nothing of the affair.
