2010 Iraqi parliamentary elections
Iraqis headed to the polls on March 7 to elect their national parliament for the second time since the 2003 invasion that ousted dictator Saddam Hussein from power. The poll is seen as a key test for Iraq's fledgling democracy, and is being closely followed by the United States, whose troops are set to complete their withdrawal from the country by the end of 2011.
