French cuisine: No longer a recipe for success?

During a catering trade show in Villepinte, twelve of France's most famous chefs launched a debate with their Spanish counterparts to discuss whether French cuisine is still modern, after creating a "cuisine de France" association to rejuvenate its image. Are we witnessing the end of the traditional dominance of French cuisine?

French Cuisine

I think due to the rising influences of South-Asian and Latin cultures, we will see a decline in the mainstream for French cuisine. However, French cuisine has set a standard in which these up and coming ethnic dishes will have to live up to. So French cuisine is not lost, nor will it go into extinction. It still plays an important role in global society.
