Barack Obama breathed a sigh of relief on Sunday when the House of Representatives voted by 219 to 212 in favour of the most significant health care legislation in the U.S. for four decades. The reform extends health insurance coverage to 32 million Americans but has proved immensely divisive in the United States, revealing a deep ideological division.
