The top level talks this week between Pakistan and the US - the so-called strategic dialogue - are of critical importance for both countries. The Obama administration has rolled out the red carpet for Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Army chief General Ashfaq Kayani - setting up meetings with Hillary Clinton, Robert Gates and Mike Mullen.
