France tackles school violence

Today, the French government begins two days of round-table talks on how to tackle violence in the country's schools. Officials, experts and community leaders are coming together after a spate of incidents earlier this year, including the fatal stabbing of an 18-year-old. The French government says it's taking action. But many critics say authorities have been too slow to deal with a growing problem.

i as a student think that the problem of bullying or violence starts at home where there maybe are some family issues

School violence in Tunisia

I think school violence is getting widespread over many countries . Here in Tunisia , it surpassed violence among class mates, to involve the teaching staff , who is subjected every day to verbal abuse and increasing physical threats ranging from kicking and punching to stabbing.

In the absence of ever-busy parents and a framework of psychological support units in schools, these attacks are to increase at an alarming rate . With students bragging about their adventures in social networks like facebook and therefore spreading their ill-natured acts.
