"Stranded passengers return home"

In today’s French press review, we talk about stranded passengers’ relief when they heard that flights were resuming across Europe.

Libération says that three quarters of the flights have resumed in France, and that stranded travelers should be able to return home within two days. The newspaper describes a day at Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport, where emotions were mixed.

Meanwhile, Le Figaro interviewed Eric Mas, a French weather forecaster. He warns that it could still be dangerous to fly today, as the wind direction has not changed since the start of the week. He expects winds to clear the skies by next week-end.

And finally, Le Monde reports about tonight’s Champions League semi-final. Lyon faces Bayern Munich and the newspaper wonders if the French can win, despite being “Europe’s economic dwarfs”.
