US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Saturday pressed Greece's finance minister to quickly implement financial reforms and roll out a massive bailout to curb the country's debt crisis.

AFP - US Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner on Saturday pressed Greece's finance minister to quickly implement financial reforms and roll out a massive bailout to curb the country's debt crisis.

Geithner met George Papaconstantinou along with representatives of the European Union and the International Monetary Fund on the margins of a meeting of world finance ministers in Washington.

"Secretary Geithner encouraged them to move quickly to put in place a package of strong reforms and substantial concrete financial support," the treasury said in a statement.
