Majority of Germans oppose Greek rescue plan

A survey carried out by the German institute Infratest dimap on behalf of FRANCE 24 and in collaboration with German daily DIE WELT shows that Germans, by and large, have a negative view of current European policy regarding Greece's debt crisis.

 

A majority of Germans are opposed to their country’s participation in a financial bailout of Greece and are opposed to Turkey joining the European Union. But most see Russia as an important partner of the EU.
