Wall Street: The Goldman hearings
Democrats in Washington have been pushing to start a formal debate on new laws to rein in excess risk-taking on Wall Street. This as executives of the most powerful investment bank in the world - Goldman Sachs - have been interrogated by a Senate Panel. The Senate has accused the bank of having made a fortune, by betting against its clients, as the housing market slumped.
