On the first day of the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty review conference, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad launched a withering attack on nuclear powers for failing to disarm, saying the possession of bombs was "disgusting and shameful". This comes as the US is negotiating with other Security Council members to impose a fourth round of sanctions against Iran over its alleged uranium enrichment programme.
