As the French Parliament debates a set of environmental measures, the wind is blowing against the installation of wind turbines, a key alternative to fossil fuel energy. The ruling UMP party wanted to impose a minimal power of 15 megawatts per wind turbine set. However, in a victory for supporters of wind turbines, the Environment minister protested and won a reprieve. But is wind energy a good option for the future? And is green energy going out of fashion?
