Europe: austerity or growth?
The problem that first emerged in Greece has been bubbling under the financial radar in a series of other European nations. Italy has just unveiled steps to stop the rot that has seen a huge national debt mount. In Spain, Prime Minister Zapatero is trying to save 13 billion euros by 2013 while coping with a jobless rate of 20%. And the UK's deficit is almost as tragic as that of Greece. Our debate tonight: austerity or growth? Europe gets tough...
