Amnesty Report: grim picture on human rights

Amnesty International has issued its annual report this week and it makes grim reading. According to the report, progress was seen in certain countries, but it accused the UN Human Rights Council of a complete failure to hold the government of Sri Lanka to account despite evidence of widespread human rights abuse. A patchy picture to say the least. So is human rights abuse becoming worse?
