The colours are magnificent, the scenery majestic. We are on the pink granite coastline in the north of Brittany in France, offshore is an island, or rather an archipelago. Just 10 minutes away from the mainland, nature prospers and vegetation is rich.
It’s the first time Paris’ Cité d’Architecture has devoted an exhibition solely to paper art. Designers are bringing paper into a whole new dimension with increasingly audacious designs for shop windows, show rooms, and even invitation cards.
An ice rink has been set up under the vaulted glass dome of Paris’ Grand Palais. It’s a first for this fine example of French culture and architecture, and it’s not the only significant hot spot of the capital to have erected an ice rink this year. They may only be here for the festive season, but they offer a truly unforgettable experience.
