Israeli military releases footage of Gaza ship raid

Amid mounting international criticism of its raid on a Gaza-bound flotilla, the Israeli military has released a video it says provides evidence of the violence Israeli soldiers encountered as they stormed the main vessel.

As the international community deplored the deaths of the Gaza-bound activists intercepted by the Israeli Navy in international waters on Monday, the Israeli military released video footage of what it says were attacks by the activists on its soldiers.

The footage shows the action on board the Mavi Marmara ferry, the main vessel in the six-ship aid convoy.

The videos are shot from an Israeli helicopter and from a boat alongside the Mavi Marmara.
