En route for a Nadal-Soderling rematch?
Rafael Nadal and Robin Soderling (pictured) are tipped to meet in a rematch of last year’s quarter-final as they take on Jürgen Melzer and Toman Berdych respectively in the men’s semis on Friday.

After coming back from two sets down to oust third-seed Novak Djokovic in a thrilling quarter-final, Austria’s Jürgen Melzer faces four-time champion Rafael Nadal. The two have met twice in the past, with the Spaniard winning on both occasions.
Melzer, seeded 27th, is the first Austrian to reach this stage of the tournament since Thomas Muster in 1995. But Nadal, who is yet to drop a set in the competition, remains the strong favourite to reclaim a title that has eluded him only once in his five previous entries.
Should he reach the final, Nadal could well face a rematch against Robin Soderling, who caused a huge upset last year by ousting the Spaniard in the fourth round.
This year, the big-hitting Swede dumped out another title holder, Roger Federer. Soderling now faces the Czech Republic’s in-form Tomas Berdych, who beat fourth-seed Andy Murray in the fourth round before sailing past Mikhail Youzhny in the quarters.
The two met on the Paris clay last year, with Soderling emerging on top. But that match was recently avenged in style when Berdych beat the Swede in straight sets in Miami. So you may want to hold it before betting on a Nadal-Soderling final.
