German Chancellor Angela Merkel should have met French President Nicolas Sarkozy for dinner and talks in Berlin last night, but postponed the meeting at the last minute until June 14th. Despite the surface bonhomie between Paris and Berlin, major differences divide them on key issues - including the need for the EU to have its own economic government.
