What next in the stand-off between the UN and Iran over its nuclear programme? On Wednesday, the Security Council voted in a fresh round of sanctions - the fourth in all. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad described the latest sanctions as a used handkerchief fit only for the dustbin. Are the sanctions any more likely to achieve compliance than their predecessors?
