Can we intellectualise football?
In culture today, Sylvain Bourmeau discusses football and how intellectuals have taken an interest in the sport. Many books have been written on the subject over the past few years, resulting in a prize-winning competition from the football federation here in France. It has international following, which brings people together across social classes and ages, proving that it is no longer an ordinary sport.

I do not like first of all
I do not like first of all the way France qualified Ireland should have gone to South Africa, secondly Raymond's tactics and then the terrible conduct of Anelka and for Evra, he is the last person i expected to insult anyone, a coaching staff member at that! French football can recover if their players borrow a leaf from GOD FEARING players like E.Vincent Nigera's goalkeeper who left the event with alot of credit despite his team's poor performance!
