Can politicians save France's beleaguered football team? Or would they be better advised to stay away from Les Bleus? Even President Sarkozy cleared his schedule on Thursday to talk to French star Thierry Henry. But Sarkozy's opponents criticised him for interfering, some suggesting he had called the meeting to distract from protests against pension reform.
