Four years of captivity for Gilad Shalit. The israeli soldier was abducted in 2006 in a cross-border raid by Palestinian activists. Across the world, protesters marked this anniversary. With marches in Paris, Rome, and of course several Israeli cities. Shalit's family also embarked on a twelve-day march to Jerusalem. The goal is to raise the pressure on the Israeli government, to negotiate a prisoner exchange for their son's release.
