In today’s international press review, we look at Bronislaw Komorowski’s victory in Poland’s presidential election. We also focus on Rafael Nadal’s triumph in Wimbledon.

The tight presidential race in Poland has made the front page of most Polish newspapers, including Fakt, Gazeta Wyborcza and Nasz Dziennik.
 
Fakt, the biggest selling newspaper in Poland, remains vigilant about Bronislaw Komorowski’s victory. It has set him a one year deadline to deal with pressing issues such as the economic reform, the healthcare system and defence.
 
The Wall Street Journal explains why Civic Platform’s candidate won. He is dubbed the “Fiscal Hawk” at home and pledged to cut the country’s deficit.
 
In other news, the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is on a five-day tour of former Soviet bloc countries. She was in Azerbaijan yesterday, a country considered a key transit route to Afghanistan. The Washington Post explains why her visit was important.
 
Clinton also made the front page of the British newspaper The Guardian. She admitted to a Polish TV channel that her top priority at the moment, was daughter’s wedding.
 
And finally, Rafael Nadal beat Tomas Berdych in three sets on Sunday. The “Wimbledon King” is on the front page of several international newspapers, including The Wall Street Journal, The Daily Telegraph, The Daily Express …
