This July the fourteenth will not only celebrate France's national day, but also fifty years of African independence from France. Leaders from fourteen ex-colonies have been invited to Paris, and their armies will march with their former masters. The choreography is supposed to show a new relationship of equals. But some say France's old habits in dealing with its ex-empire die hard.
