Its important to understand the politics of the negotiation table. Britain cannot expect anything more when she appears on the negotiation table stricken and powerless with absolutely no name at all.Britain is getting lost in its own island. This is not expected to change any time soon because the British, in isolating themselves from Europe, chose the path of the US underdog. It is imperative to measure expectations with inputs when it concerns international relations. True friendship today is based on substance. Cultural, historical and language ties have very little to play. The dynamics have changed and the earlier Britain understands, the better. If people are hoping in the next US administration to change the trend, they will just end up seeing that Obama was not the problem. The moment is now for Britain to redeem its name.
