Facebook: let's all be friends?

500 million friends can't be wrong. Or can they? While David Kirkpatrick, author of "The Facebook Effect", argues that the best way to defend your personal privacy on Facebook is to be on it, that's not enough to convince France 24 holdout Cyril Vanier to sign up. Also joining François Picard in the France 24 Debate are French digital media journalists Jacques Eltabet and Jérôme Bouteiller, as well as Lorena Galliot of the France 24 internet desk.

FRIENDS ala FACEBOOK

FRIENDS - Birthday Wishes, Caring relationships, Putting others first and so on....
New for the 21st Century! Facebook really breeds new and improved versions of why we're all here: FRIENDS. Some "friends" have achieved such levels of fame it seems that there simply isn't enough time to reply "thank you" when one sends greeting for their birthday. I think I may have preferred the behavior of my "friends" PRIOR to Facebook. OR maybe we should just consider this : WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD....FRIEND? Ah, how about SUPERFICIAL?
