France coach Laurent Blanc to unveil new team line-up

Text by FRANCE 24

Latest update : 2010-08-05

France’s new football coach Laurent Blanc will unveil his team on Thursday for an upcoming friendly match against Norway, having already announced that none of the players present at the disastrous World Cup campaign would be part of the line-up.

French football coach Laurent Blanc unveils his list of players to play against Norway on Thursday.

Blanc, who was appointed as the French team’s new coach in July, has already announced that the squad will not include any of the players who were part of the FIFA World cup fiasco in South Africa.

Blanc has inherited a team in disarray after the whole squad went on strike during a World Cup training session.

The French returned home in ignominy after failing to win any of their first round games, with former coach Raymond Domenech refusing to shake South Africa coach Carlos Alberto Parriera's hand following the final defeat to the hosts.

Les Bleus will play against Norway in a friendly in Oslo on August 11.
