Marianne, one of France's leading news weeklies known for its left-wing views, has shocked the country's establishment with its provocative cover in which it calls President Nicolas Sarkozy a "thug". Even leading members of France's Socialist Party have criticised the headline. So are we seeing the emergence of a new war being fought out between the Sarkozy camp and some parts of the media?
