It was the first time les Bleus had played since their disastrous performance at the World Cup. After much trumpeting that it was the beginning of a new era for French football, thanks to new coach Laurent Blanc, all eyes were on him and his team last night. But there wasn't much cheering after France were defeated two goals to one by Norway.
