After having dismantled numerous illegal Gypsy camps in the past few days, France is sending dozens of Roma Gypsies back to Romania today. Tensions are growing between France and Romania, with Bucharest's foreign minister alluding to populism and xenophobia against the backdrop of economic problems in France. So is the French government's security offensive successful? And what are the implications at a European level?
