AP - Darren Bent converted a penalty in the fourth minute of stoppage time to give Sunderland a dramatic 1-0 victory over Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday.
After City dominated the opening 45 minutes, Bent capped a second-half fightback by converting his spot-kick, having just been hauled down by defender Micah Richards in front of goal.
City was left to rue a glaring miss by Carlos Tevez in the early stages of the match, with the Argentine forward firing high over an open goal after being played in by midfielder Yaya Toure.
Roberto Mancini’s City side failed to take advantage of their grip on the game, while the home side made the most of its opportunity despite losing striker Fraizer Campbell with what looked a serious injury.
