Mario Vargas Llosa wins literature Nobel Prize
The Peruvian novelist Mario Vargas Llosa has surprised us all by taking the biggest honour in books. A titan of South American literature, whose political ambitions saw him run for president in his native Peru, won the Nobel prize for literature at the age of 74. Eve Jackson asks our France 24 book critic, Augustin Trapenard what he makes of the new Nobel laureate.
