Civil war at Wikileaks

In today’s international press review, we focus on the whistle blowing website Wikileaks. It revealed around 400,000 secret documents about the Iraq war over the week-end. The press reports about internal squabbling amongst Wikileak staff. Also in the papers: the cholera outbreak in Haiti and Chinese pet lovers.

Nine months after the earthquake, a cholera outbreak has hit Haiti. The Daily Telegraph explains how the disease started spreading in the region of Arbonite, around 60 miles north of Port au Prince.

In other news, The Independent reports about a “civil war at Wikileaks”. Several members of staff have quit the website because they disagreed with its founder, Julian Assange.
Meanwhile, The Daily Mail talks about Tony Blair’s sister in law who has converted to Islam.

And finally in China, the number of pet dogs has increased considerably. Considered a bourgeois luxury, they used to be banned. But today, there are around 900,000 dogs in Beijing alone, according to the New York Times.
